As part of the Enabling Transitions work stream, the Disability Support Service in Cork Institute of Technology are developing transition programmes for students on the autism spectrum. They will create a roadmap of support for students at pre-entry, entry and post-entry level. Programme design is informed by research conducted with students, parents and professionals, to gain insight into transition and progression experience of students on the spectrum in CIT. Student voice at the centre of programme design is a critical element of the project. This journal article highlights the findings of the transitional needs of students from the perspective of current students on the autism spectrum in CIT.
