Whidden Workshops – its Kusti to Rokker (WWKR)

Whidden Workshops – its Kusti to Rokker (WWKR)is a series of virtual, peer-led workshops where current Traveller & Roma students come together to inspire, inform & increase Traveller & Roma participation in higher education. The workshops provide prospective Traveller & Roma students with information, guidance, and insight into the real experiences of Traveller & Roma students accessing and currently progressing through third level education. ‘Whidden’ is the Traveller cant word for ‘chatting’ and Kushti to Rokker means ‘it’s good to talk’ in Roma, reflecting the informal and participant-friendly approach adopted.  The workshops are a PATH 3 collaboration between College Connect – Maynooth University and the SOAR Project – MTU Cork Campus.
