The Transitions Programme Co-Ordinator works with staff throughout the university to raise awareness and understanding of the needs of neurodiverse students and promotes the adoption of universal design in teaching and student support services.
- In collaboration with the MTU Teaching and Learning Unit learning workshops on topics such as Autism, Communication, Sensory Processing and Universal Design have been delivered.
- Providing Department-specific CPD on Autism and universal design.
- Providing Department-specific education initiatives to support academic staff to develop tailored neurodiverse supports for students such as – Mentoring for neurodiverse Students.
